I'm a friendly and motivated professional with over 10 years experience working within the third sector and academic institutions such as Dundee University and Newcastle University.
My fundraising and awareness development skills were developed during my employment at Play England, where I provided consultancy to the local authorities on strategy development as well as advice on completing grant applications, securing around £10 million for children's play in the region through the BIG Lottery Fund. Developing local authority and third sector partnerships was key in the role as well as promotional activities on TV and radio broadcasts and developing training, workshops and conferences.
I completed the Great North Run in September 2010 for Cancer Research UK. Over the past few years I have been involved in fundraising in my free time for charities including a Moulin Rouge Night for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research, which attracted over 300 people and raised over £3000. I also volunteered for Chest Heart Stroke Scotland – Home visiting service from 1999-2000.
Along Came Kirsty was set up in February 2012 and since then we already have raised over £500k for charities and social enterprises across Scotland.
